Call out: Think of a Conclusion
An Opportunity to Take Part in Bath Fringe 2019
Think of a Conclusion – 29th May
Old Theatre Royal Bath
Preparation workshop 11th May
Following the success of last year’s ‘Think of a Sequel’ – which incorporated dancers, both from Bath Spa University and the wider community – this year’s show aims to build on that strong platform. This time, dancers will integrate with the student choir featured in the previous show ‘Think of a Song’ to create a unique and unexpected finale.
This will be an unusual and challenging event, comprising spoken word, music and dance. Key requirements for the performers will be focus, enthusiasm and the ability to respond in the moment. The dance segment will form part of a surprise finale, working closely with members of the Bath Spa University choir. Both dancers and singers will be hidden among the audience, so it is vital that this remains a secret up until the show.
Once again, professional dancer, choreographer and teacher Matt Cleary – together with dance educator Michelle Rochester – will be holding a free workshop in order to prepare dancers for their role in the show. This will be followed by one or more rehearsals together with the choir.
The workshop is planned to take place at Bath Spa University on the morning of Saturday 11th May and rehearsals with the choir shortly afterwards. The show itself will be on May 29th. It is hoped that we will be able to run the show at the venue during the afternoon before the performance but this will be confirmed nearer the time.
If you would like to take part, please – in the first instance – email Brian Madigan on firstname.lastname@example.org to express your interest. If you could provide a little background on you and your dance/performance experience to date, that would be helpful. If you took part last time, this will not be necessary – just remind me who you are.
Any question, please call Brian on 01225 313082. Many thanks.
